Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has introduced several initiatives focused on youth development and educational support. The process began with the launch of the ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Vidyarthi Manthan’ portal, which featured an essay competition titled ‘My Vision for a Developed Uttarakhand: My Perspective for a Developed State’. Through this program, the state government committed to covering coaching fees and related expenses for 140 top-performing students to assist in preparations for competitive exams such as NEET, JEE, CLAT, and SAT. Following these efforts, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of a ‘Youth Commission’ to promote holistic development, specifically targeting education and vocational training. The administration emphasized that youth welfare and employment are top priorities, noting that 34,000 young people have already secured employment through transparent processes. The government also highlighted plans to provide free online coaching for competitive examinations to alleviate financial burdens on low-income and middle-class families. Expanding on these development goals, the Chief Minister announced the creation of the state’s first Youth Commission to focus on education and training. Alongside these youth-centric measures, the government plans to develop three new special industrial parks in Chamoli, Pauri, and Almora. Additional welfare measures include increased state assistance for the PM Awas Yojana, entrepreneurship support for individuals aged 18 to 30, and extended timelines for land regularization.
