VakıfBank achieved significant victories in international and domestic women’s volleyball competitions in late 2026. In late September, VakıfBank won the Konstantinos Karelias International Tournament by defeating PAOK 3-0 in the final. Following this, VakıfBank won the 2026 AXA Sigorta Women’s Champions Cup held in Antalya. In a highly competitive five-set final at the Antalya Spor Salonu, VakıfBank defeated Eczacıbaşı Peron İstanbul 3-2. This victory marked the club’s sixth Champions Cup title, equaling the record held by Fenerbahçe, with captain Zehra Güneş named MVP. Following the Champions Cup victory, head coach Giovanni Guidetti expressed satisfaction with the team's morale and the balance between veterans and young talents, stating a goal to compete for five trophies this season. General Manager Banu Can Schürmann identified VakıfBank and Eczacıbaşı Peron İstanbul as favorites for the upcoming FIVB Club World Championship in São Paulo, Brazil. During a press meeting in mid-October, Guidetti reiterated the goal of competing for five trophies, highlighting the development of young players like Aylin alongside veterans such as Boskovic, Zehra, and Cansu. Schürmann noted the squad is in good health, with the medical staff managing minor physical maintenance. Captain Zehra Güneş previously noted that starting the season with a trophy provided “significant motivation” for the squad and expressed excitement for the FIVB Club World Championship scheduled for December 8–13. In mid-October, VakıfBank continued its strong domestic form in the Turkish Women's Volleyball League by securing a comeback victory against Eczacıbaşı. After trailing 0-2 in sets, the team led by Guidetti won the match in a tie-break with scores of 14-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-22, and 15-9. This result placed VakıfBank at the top of the standings with four wins and 11 points.
