Vale has initiated several recruitment efforts in Brazil. In Ouro Preto, the company organized a ‘Balcão de Oportunidades’ (Opportunity Counter) to fill over 100 operational roles for the Complexo Mariana, including positions for mechanics, electricians, and welders. This event included affirmative action vacancies specifically for women. Following this, Vale expanded its hiring focus to include technical internships in Pará. The 2026 Technical Internship Program offers approximately 80 positions for students in Marabá, Parauapebas, and Canaã dos Carajás, focusing on areas such as automation and digitalization. By September 2026, the company significantly scaled its 2026 Technical Internship Program, opening more than 450 opportunities across five states: Maranhão, Pará, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, and Espírito Santo. In Minas Gerais, over 150 positions are available. The program targets strategic technical areas including automation, digitalization, data analysis, and innovation. Human Resources Director Bruna Maffra noted the initiative aims to connect technical training with practical experience to support the evolution of the mining sector. Applications for these roles were set to close on September 10, with activities scheduled to begin in November.
