The Valencian community has held several ceremonies to recognize various achievements in culture, society, and communication. On October 9, the Generalitat Valenciana presented its annual distinctions, honoring individuals in fields such as sport, literature, and culture. Notable recipients included bullfighter Luis Francisco Esplá and poet Carlos Marzal, while the city of Ceuta received a High Distinction. Following this, the inaugural Premis Mitjans awards were announced, scheduled for October 22 in Valencia. These awards recognize excellence in communication, digital transformation, culture, and sports. Winners include Consum for its commitment to Valencian communication and the project Salvem les Fotos for its work restoring photographs damaged during the October 2024 DANA floods. Other recognized entities for the Premis Mitjans include Les Fogueres de Sant Joan d’Alacant for culture and mountaineer Rafael Cebrián Gimeno for sports.
