In late July 2026, rumors circulated regarding a potential release of a VALORANT Neo Frontier 2.0 skin bundle, which was expected to feature an Old West and sci-fi aesthetic including a lasso melee skin. By mid-August 2026, Riot Games officially announced the Aeris Collection to launch with Season 2026 Act 5. This confirmed collection features a fantasy theme centered on enchanted cards, providing skins for the Vandal, Bandit, Guardian, and Marshal, alongside a transforming melee weapon and a special easter egg involving ‘Riftbound: League of Legends’ trading card game variants. On August 17, 2026, Riot Games launched Season 2026 // Act 5 and the 13.04 update. The Aeris Collection includes the ‘Suit of Aeris’ melee weapon, which transforms between a dagger, sword, and greatsword during attacks. The bundle also features custom animations, a unique finisher involving floating cards, and a new interactive Flex item. The 13.04 patch also introduced a new Battlepass, implemented map rotations for Competitive and Deathmatch modes—including the addition of Abyss to the competitive pool—and addressed technical bugs related to agents such as Deadlock and Cypher.
