Heritage restoration and urban development initiatives ~~are progressing~~ continue to progress in Valparaíso, Chile. Key projects within the World Heritage Site include the renovation of the Pérgola de las Flores on Cumming Hill, which has reached 50% completion, and the finished conservation of Castillo San José. The latter site is set to house the Regional Archive and the World Heritage Site Administration Corporation. Complementing these physical restorations, the Chilean Chamber of Construction (CChC) has ~~launched~~ officially opened applications for the 12th edition of the Urban Contribution Award ~~to recognize~~ (PAU) 2026.
