Following difficult practice sessions at the MotorLand Aragon circuit, Indonesian Moto3 rider Veda Ega Pratama entered the 2026 Aragon Grand Prix qualifying sessions from Qualifying 1 (Q1). After finishing 8th in Q1 with a time of 1:58.041, he failed to advance to Qualifying 2 (Q2) and was set to start the race from 22nd position. During the Grand Prix race, Pratama initially showed progress by climbing to 18th place following the first lap. However, he ultimately dropped back and finished the race in 20th position, marking his lowest finish of the season. Honda Team Asia Manager Hiroshi Aoyama attributed the performance to technical issues, noting that while Pratama initially climbed as high as 16th, he struggled with “braking difficulties and a loss of tire grip” during the second half of the race. Due to his inability to score points during this round, Pratama fell to seventh place in the 2026 Moto3 championship standings with 97 points. He was overtaken in the standings by Valentin Perrone, who moved into sixth place with 103 points. Malaysian rider Hakim Danish is currently trailing Pratama by seven points. Despite the setback, Pratama remains the highest-ranked Honda rider in the championship, ahead of Guido Pini. In the rookie category, Pratama remains behind leader Brian Uriarte, who holds 138 points. At the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli for the Moto3 San Marino practice, Pratama finished the session in 13th place with a best time of 1:40.797, having briefly entered the top ten during the final minutes. Hakim Danish finished the practice in 16th position. David Almansa secured the fastest time in the session, while Maximo Quiles, Alvaro Carpe, and David Almansa lead the championship standings.
