Vehicle accidents in Paraná, Brazil

Overview

Multiple vehicle accidents have been reported in the state of Paraná, Brazil.

In late August, a Scania truck with two trailers overturned on the PR-517 highway in Itambaracá. The driver was uninjured, and a breathalyzer test ruled out alcohol consumption.

In mid-September, two additional incidents occurred. A Scania truck carrying corn overturned on the PR-369 highway between São Pedro do Ivaí and Bom Sucesso, causing cargo to spill and creating traffic delays. Separately, a collision between a Fiat Strada and a semi-truck near Apucarana resulted in a gasoline leak that required containment by firefighters. No injuries were reported in either of these September incidents.
