Venezuela’s youth football teams have seen varied results across several international competitions. In the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco, the Venezuelan squad secured a 3-2 comeback victory against Zambia, decided by a stoppage-time bicycle kick from Andrea Suárez. However, the team subsequently lost 2-0 to Japan, leaving them to hope to advance to the round of 16 as one of the best third-placed teams. As the tournament enters the knockout stages, Venezuela remains in contention to advance to the knockout phase as one of the four best third-placed teams, depending on the results of other group matches. Other teams in the competition, such as Mexico and Spain, have already secured places in the round of 16. Other Venezuelan youth selections have also been active. In the FIFA U-15 Men’s World Cup in Azerbaijan, the U-15 team won their debut match 5-0 against New Zealand. Additionally, in the CONMEBOL Futsal Evolution League, Venezuelan women’s futsal teams recorded victories against Peru in both the U-20 and senior categories.
