Political support for Vicentinho Júnior’s candidacy for the governorship of Tocantins has expanded through various professional and legislative endorsements. In early September, anesthesiologists from Araguaína, represented by Dr. Lorahana Silvestre Pereira Vilas Boas e Silva and Dr. Carlos Walfredo Reis, announced their support. The group cited a need for structural changes, improved infrastructure, and better professional valuation within the state’s healthcare system. Vicentinho Júnior responded that this support reinforces his proposal for a decentralized and organized healthcare model. By mid-September, State Deputy Eduardo Mantoan also endorsed Vicentinho Júnior, describing the platform as the “secure change” the state requires. Mantoan, who is seeking reelection to the Legislative Assembly, shifted his support from Laurez Moreira to Vicentinho Júnior, citing the latter as the most competitive option. Mantoan further indicated that his wife, Cinthia Ribeiro, would serve as a collaborator in a potential administration. During a TV Anhanguera debate in late September, Vicentinho Júnior (PSDB) detailed specific policy proposals. To combat violence against women, he proposed establishing 24-hour specialized police stations in all eight regions of Tocantins. His security plan also includes increasing police presence in rural areas and conducting new public exams to expand the force. Regarding healthcare, he advocated for decentralization to reduce travel to major centers by strengthening small-scale hospitals and modernizing management. His education platform includes expanding full-time schooling and creating technological centers for youth. With three days remaining before the election, the campaign secured further endorsements from PDT federal deputy candidates Bernadino and Sileia Monteiro. Additionally, the Association of Notaries and Registrars of Tocantins (Anoreg-TO) endorsed the candidate, presenting specific sectoral agendas for discussion. Vicentinho stated these developments reflect a “broad dialogue with various sectors of society” as the campaign enters its final stage.
