Victoria Monét album release

Overview

R&B artist Victoria Monét has released her sophomore studio album, ‘Frequency of Love’, through Lovett Music/RCA Records. The 22-song project is described by Monét as a “musical diary” that explores themes of personal growth, motherhood, and dating.

The album features collaborations with several high-profile artists, including SZA on the track ‘See You In My Dreams’ and Bruno Mars on ‘That’s Why I Love You’. Other contributors include Leon Thomas, Lucky Daye, Bryson Tiller, and Chlöe. Monét stated that the songwriting process allowed her to view love as a “choice rather than a mere reaction to external circumstances.” This release follows her previous work, ‘Jaguar II’, and signifies her transition from a songwriter for other artists to a solo performer.
