Video game Halloween seasonal events 2026

Various video game platforms and titles have launched seasonal Halloween programming for 2026.

Roblox announced ‘The Hollow’ event, scheduled from October 22 to November 2, featuring survival challenges across multiple games, virtual musical performances, and promotional activities for its Family Zone. The event includes a collaborative survival experience where players navigate daily mazes from a central hub to encounter monsters from horror titles such as DOORS, Piggy, and 99 Nights in the Forest. Participants can earn exclusive user-generated content (UGC) items and badges by completing specific quests. Virtual musical performances from artists including Ken Carson and CG5 are also planned for experiences like The Block and +1 Speed Keyboard Escape. To promote digital safety, the platform is integrating a ‘Family Zone’ within the Duck Duck experience to help parents and children explore parental controls in a secure environment.

As the event progresses, players can engage in specific quests within ‘Home Alone: Anomalies’ to earn exclusive accessories and badges by locating crossover characters while managing a ‘Sanity meter’. Recent updates include the unlocking of Floor 5 of the event hub, where players must navigate a maze to avoid the Hiachi monster from ‘The Mimic’ and solve a mirror-based light puzzle to retrieve a Relic.

Deep Rock Galactic, developed by Ghost Ship Games, launched its Hoxxes Halloween 2026 event running from October 22 through November 5. This event includes themed missions, environmental changes to Hoxxes IV and the Space Rig base, and opportunities to unlock exclusive cosmetic rewards, such as the limited-time Straw Boss headwear. Players can also participate in the ‘Last Year’s Horrors’ mission to unlock previous years' cosmetics or collect flying skulls in caves to earn double Performance Points.
