Additionally, the restaurant Drittl is relocating to the former Florianihof, a move that expands its capacity from 35 to 113 seats and transitions its service from an evening-only model to an all-day program. Further expansion in the Mariahilf district includes the launch of Mels Place on Hirschengasse, a cafe focusing on a home-like atmosphere with homemade pastries and savory items. In the Josefstadt district, the Italian-inspired café ‘i Mulini’ has opened, offering breakfast and aperitivo. Beyond local openings, the culinary landscape is seeing international movement, such as the movement. The historic Figlmüller family business business, an institution for over 120 years, is launching a six-month pop-up at the Autostadt in Wolfsburg, Germany. This Starting August 21, this residency features classic Wiener Schnitzel alongside a new street food concept, will feature their signature pork schnitzel—noted for being exceptionally thin and breaded with special Kaisersemmel crumbs—alongside their ‘Brioche & Brösel’. Brösel’ street food concept and other Austrian classics such as veal schnitzel and spinach dumplings.
