In flood-prone areas such as Nghe An, residents have begun proactively securing property and food supplies in anticipation of the upcoming storm season. Regarding maritime conditions, Tropical Storm No. 5 reportedly dissipated after making landfall in China, though authorities maintained warnings for coastal areas regarding potential squalls, lightning, and strong winds. By early September, Hue experienced intensified heatwaves, with temperatures reaching between 37°C and 38°C. Low humidity and strong Southwest winds increased forest fire risks, leading to approximately 20 fire incidents in a single day. Notably, a large fire in a protected pine forest in An Cuu Ward required over 150 personnel to extinguish. Authorities have issued health warnings for the elderly and outdoor workers while maintaining checkpoints to prevent further outbreaks.
