Vietnam is implementing several initiatives to promote domestic brands and enhance business competitiveness. The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced the 10th Vietnam National Brand ceremony for 2026, themed ‘Vietnamese Brand Flow’. This program, which has operated for 23 years, has recognized 499 products from 227 enterprises across various sectors, including digital technology, finance, logistics, and agriculture. The 2026 selection process introduced new criteria where innovation accounts for 30% of the total score, linking brand development to science, technology, digital transformation, and green transition. Following an eight-month evaluation and appraisal period, the program has identified these 499 products to bolster long-term competitiveness. Data from Brand Finance indicates that the value of Vietnam’s national brand reached $462.279 billion in 2026, a 45.14% increase from 2020, ranking the nation 32nd out of 193 countries. Notably, five enterprises among the top 10 most valuable Vietnamese brands hold products recognized with the National Brand status, representing approximately 69.1% of that group's total value. In addition to the National Brand program, the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Business Association is organizing a festival titled ‘Pride and Continuity’ in Ho Chi Minh City from October 8–11 to mark the 30th anniversary of its program. The festival aims to connect businesses with consumer feedback through interactive spaces and promotional activities.
