Local governments in Vietnam have implemented new financial support policies for civil servants and officials facing relocation due to administrative restructuring or political assignments.

In Hue City, Resolution 19/2026/NQ-HĐND established a monthly payment of 1.5 million VND for personnel relocated or seconded to new positions. To qualify for this assistance, which runs through July 2028, employees must commute at least 15 kilometers and must not own a home at their new place of work.

Similarly, the Lam Dong Provincial People's Council issued Resolution 17/2026/NQ-HĐND to support officials, civil servants, and employees transferring to the Lam Dong Provincial Political-Administrative Center following administrative restructuring. This policy provides a total of 5,000,000 VND per person monthly, divided into 3,000,000 VND for housing and 2,000,000 VND for travel expenses. This support is designated as separate from base salary increases.
