The Vietnam National Academy of Music is holding a series of musical programs to commemorate its 70th anniversary (1956–2026). As part of the celebrations, the Jazz-Accordion-Organ Department hosted the ‘Echoes of Time’ concert. The event honored pioneers of the Electone discipline, such as the late Professor Nguyen Trong Bang, and highlighted international connections with performers from Japan, China, and South Korea. The repertoire spanned works by J.S. Bach, Tchaikovsky, and Astor Piazzolla. On October 24, the academy held the classical chamber concert ‘Resonantia’ at its Grand Concert Hall in Hanoi. Organized by the Faculty of Vocal Music, the performance featured the Hanoi Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Tran Nhat Minh. The program included excerpts from operas such as Puccini’s ‘La Bohème’, Verdi’s ‘La Traviata’, and Mozart’s ‘The Magic Flute’, showcasing the technical mastery of leading Vietnamese chamber singers, alumni, and students. The concert featured vocalists including Đào Tố Loan, Trường Linh, NSƯT Lan Anh, and NSƯT Phương Nga, with support from academy leadership such as Director Nguyễn Huy Phương and Deputy Director Bùi Công Duy. A second major program, ‘70 Years - Eternal Sounds’, is scheduled for November 14 to showcase the academy’s professional vocal training and its various generations of faculty and students.
