Vietnam tourism promotion and growth in Europe

Vietnam has initiated several efforts to strengthen tourism connections and cooperation with European markets. In Amsterdam, the Vietnam Tourism Roadshow was organized by the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, Vietnam Airlines, and the Vietnamese Embassy to promote cultural values and destination potential. This event included the announcement of the ‘Ten Thousand Miles of Flowers’ initiative and the signing of cooperation memorandums. Following this, the Saigontourist Group focused on increasing two-way tourism between Vietnam and the United Kingdom and Europe. A delegation met with the Vietnamese Ambassador to the United Kingdom and Ireland in London to discuss strengthening business connections and promoting the tourism brands of Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City, particularly ahead of the WTM London 2026 international travel fair. By the first ten months of 2026, Vietnam welcomed 19.5 million international visitors, a 13.8% increase compared to the same period in 2025. While Asia accounts for approximately 75% of total arrivals, Europe recorded the strongest growth rate at 51.5%. Key drivers for this growth include favorable visa policies, enhanced security, and diverse tourism products. The rise of the “workation” trend is also driving long-term stays from digital nomads in coastal cities like Nha Trang. To continue expanding international reach, Saigontourist Group is partnering with Vietnam Airlines to promote Vietnamese tourism at the WTM London 2026 exhibition, aiming to strengthen two-way travel exchanges with the United Kingdom and European markets.
