Diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Uzbekistan have been highlighted through cultural celebrations and official state communications. The Vietnam-Uzbekistan Friendship Association marked its 30th anniversary, reflecting on three decades of people-to-people diplomacy. The association noted that Uzbekistan supported the training of approximately 3,000 Vietnamese citizens, including engineers and scientists, during Vietnam’s periods of national liberation and reconstruction. Future goals include modernizing activities by engaging younger generations and entrepreneurs. Following these celebrations, Vietnamese leadership, including President Tô Lâm, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng, and Chairman of the National Assembly Trần Thanh Mẫn, sent official congratulatory messages to Uzbek counterparts to mark the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s Independence Day. During Vietnam’s 81st National Day, President Tô Lâm continued diplomatic outreach by sending congratulatory messages to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan on his nation’s Independence Day.
