Vietnamese actresses and entertainers are increasingly transitioning from the entertainment industry to various commercial sectors. Actress Lê Khánh, who has worked in film and theater for over two decades, established a culinary venture in 2011 to supplement unstable acting income. Her business, which operates snail restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City, expanded to two establishments by 2026. Other prominent figures have pursued diverse paths. Khánh My, a former model and actress, has focused on real estate; her project, a seven-story multi-use building in central Ho Chi Minh City serving as a residence, office, and serviced apartment complex, has been under development since 2020. Tăng Thanh Hà has spent over a decade in the food and beverage industry, focusing on specialty seafood and imported crabs since opening her first store in 2014. Despite her marriage into the Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPPG) family, she has maintained an independent business path. Beyond acting, media personalities have also entered the hospitality sector. MC Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen invested in The Kickin' Crab, a Cajun-style seafood restaurant in Buena Park, California, which opened in 2015. Meanwhile, MC Nguyen Khang has engaged in the food and beverage industry through street food vending in Ho Chi Minh City and a previous attempt to operate a seafood restaurant in Phu Quoc that did not meet expectations. More recently, male actors have also expanded into the food sector. Quách Ngọc Tuyên, known for roles in web-dramas and the film ‘Lật mặt 7: Một điều ước’, operates multiple sushi restaurants, including two locations in Ho Chi Minh City and one in Long An. In Hanoi, actor Việt Anh has co-founded a food company on Nguyen Huy Tuong Street.
