In August 2026, initiatives involving Vietnamese youth focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and community service. On 7 August, the United Nations Development Programme, Vietnam’s National Innovation Center, and Samsung Vietnam launched the RE:ACT project in Hanoi. This youth-led innovation challenge aims to develop sustainable community solutions by providing funding, technical mentorship, and access to testing sites for young innovators. Later in the month, reports highlighted broader youth movements across Vietnam and in Laos. In Bac Ninh, youth groups mobilized approximately 30 billion VND to support disadvantaged families and students through welfare activities, environmental protection, and digital transformation efforts for agricultural products. Additionally, the On 23 August, youth organizations from Vietnam Youth Federation organized activities in and Laos met in Luang Prabang to support career development strengthen bilateral cooperation regarding employment, professional training, and innovation among entrepreneurship. The Vietnam Youth Union and the Revolutionary Youth Union of Laos discussed exchanging expertise in digital skills, technology, and artificial intelligence. Representatives proposed creating a network for young people. entrepreneurs and organizing joint training courses to promote products created by youth in both nations. Nguyen Duy Hung of the Vietnam Youth Union noted that modern youth require access to capital, expertise, and market information to adapt to changing labor markets.
