A series of violent assaults involving minors has been reported in various Greek cities. In early October, two 15-year-old boys were attacked in Aigio by an adult and a minor following a verbal altercation. The attackers used punches, kicks, and a knife, and allegedly attempted to run the victims over with a vehicle. Police identified the suspects and initiated legal proceedings for charges including dangerous bodily harm and weapons law violations. By mid-October, additional incidents occurred in Thessaloniki and Patras. In Patras, a 16-year-old sustained a knife wound during a confrontation with a 22-year-old man. In Thessaloniki, on October 17, a 12-year-old boy was hospitalized after being attacked by five minors at the ‘Alkis Kampanos’ stadium in Nea Efkarpia. The victim victim, who had gone to play football, was reportedly targeted with verbal abuse before being struck with punches and kicks, causing him to hit his head on a metal gate. The boy is in stable condition at ‘Georgios Gennimatas’ hospital. He identified two of the attackers as fellow students from his middle school. The Pavlou Mela Police Station has opened a case for ‘dangerous physical injury’ and is working to identify the remaining three participants. Following the stadium attack, two 13-year-olds and their parents were arrested in connection with the incident and are expected to appear before a prosecutor.
