Violent assaults reported in Bulgaria

Overview

Reports have emerged regarding several violent incidents in Bulgaria involving physical assaults and knife attacks.

In Kazanlak, a 23-year-old man was detained after allegedly cutting a 14-year-old boy’s leg with a knife in a park. In General Toshevo, a 74-year-old man was arrested following a physical altercation with a 14-year-old boy over the use of an electric scooter; the incident was captured on video. Additionally, a 45-year-old man was stabbed in the hand by an unknown individual at a venue called ‘Birfest’ in Stara Zagora.
