Various violent incidents and fatalities have been reported across different regions in Mexico. In September, an armed attack in Silao, Guanajuato, resulted in the death of a 34-year-old woman and the injury of a man. Concurrently, in Acapulco, Guerrero, a woman was detained following the death of a four-year-old boy who suffered severe injuries, including blunt force trauma. By October, a homicide investigation was launched in Guamúchil, Sinaloa, after the body of a 45-year-old man was discovered in a pickup truck; the victim had sustained a gunshot wound to the head. In Aguascalientes, a 46-year-old truck driver faced charges of culpable homicide after a fatal traffic accident involving a university student. In Veracruz, authorities detained five suspects in connection with the September 23 murder of Guillermo Pamucé Yep, a former councilman and regional coordinator for the PAZ party. The attack took place in the Veleros residential area of Coatzacoalcos. Investigators allege the group participated in the planning, surveillance, and execution of the crime, specifically identifying Sugey del Carmen “N” as the individual who allegedly discharged the firearm that caused the fatal injuries.
