Violent deaths and discoveries in Spain and Ecuador

Overview

In Spain, authorities launched an investigation after two bodies were discovered in a residence with “clear signs of violence at the scene.”

Following this, police in Lleida, Spain, began investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in the Segre River. The Mossos d'Esquadra have released an image to assist in identifying the victim as they work to determine if she arrived at the river independently or was transported there.

Separately, in Quevedo, Ecuador, residents discovered a bag containing human remains on a bridge. Witnesses reported seeing masked individuals in a pickup truck abandon the bag, which was seen leaking blood. Police are investigating the identity of the victim and a potential link to another package found in the area.
