Vroomshoopse Boys football club activities

Overview

The Vroomshoopse Boys football club held a traditional youth event at De Bosrand on August 19, featuring a match between the first team and ‘Effies’ youth players (J/MO8 and J/MO9) to mark the debut of the new Boys Zicht complex entrance. Despite rainy weather, the match proceeded on the newly maintained pitch, with the next edition of this tradition planned for 2027.

By August 23, the club reported a 4-1 friendly victory against SV Gramsbergen at the Hoge Holt sports park, with goals from Sten Runhart, Sven Geerdink, Nelson Runhart, and Stijn Heun. Following this, the club prepared for the Oost district cup preliminary round against De Tukkers. A recent second-team match against EFC PW 1985 had been halted in the 65th minute due to multiple injuries on the visiting team.

On September 19, Vroomshoopse Boys is scheduled to begin its First Class G competition season with a match against SV Nieuwleusen at De Bosrand. Both clubs enter the season as promoted teams. The fixture will be played in front of the club’s new clubhouse, Boys Zicht. The upcoming match follows a friendly where Vroomshoopse Boys demonstrated high-pressure play against TVC’28.
