The municipal government of Várzea Grande has initiated several urban development and maintenance programs. Through the ‘Acelera VG’ program, the city announced a land regularization registration period for residents of the Manga neighborhood. This initiative, coordinated with the Government of Mato Grosso and other regional entities, aims to provide legal security to property owners. Registration services are scheduled to take place at the São Pedro Community Catholic Church social hall. Building on this initiative, the Municipal Secretariat of Urban Development, Land Regularization, and Housing has scheduled registration services for the Manga neighborhood from September 21 to 24. Services will be available between 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Municipal Secretary Manoela Rondon emphasized that the process is free of charge and advised residents to remain vigilant against scams involving third-party payments. The program remains a collaborative effort involving the Várzea Grande City Hall, the Government of Mato Grosso through Intermat, the Legislative Assembly of Mato Grosso (ALMT), and the Cuiabá River Valley Intermunicipal Consortium. As the registration period progresses, the process has expanded to include more than 1,000 lots. The current phase involves registration, site inspections, and photographic documentation of properties, with technical support provided to the outsourced company, Geogis. Once the registration and inspection phase is complete, the project will transition into engineering and technical analysis stages to finalize the regularization and issue property titles. Simultaneously, the ‘VG em Ação’ program The land regularization initiative has launched large-scale cleaning and maintenance operations. These efforts now expanded to include weeding, waste removal, and public space maintenance on Avenida Prefeito Murilo Domingos, as well as work in neighborhoods such as Capão do Piqui, Chapéu do Sol, and Costa Verde. The municipal agenda also encompasses urban mobility improvements, including enhanced signaling, public lighting upgrades, residents of the Construmat and Alameda neighborhoods. In Construmat, registration services are scheduled to be held at the installation São João Batista Catholic Church, while Alameda residents can register at the Sagrado Coração de Jesus Community. To participate, residents must provide personal identification and proof of speed bumps. possession, such as tax documents or purchase contracts.
