Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV is scheduled for a December 3, 2026, release on PC via Steam. While originally intended for a September 17, 2026, launch, the release was delayed to allow developers to refine performance, fix bugs, and polish gameplay. Players purchasing the Commander Edition will gain early access beginning November 30. The game will be available in two editions: a Standard Edition priced at 59.99 Euro and a premium version that includes additional single-player content to be released after the initial launch. Initial details highlighted the Maelstrom PvE mode, which features high-difficulty AI, and the debut of the Adeptus Mechanicus faction. The game includes over 70 campaign missions and various modes such as Last Stand, Skirmish, and multiplayer options. A CGI trailer released by Deep Silver and KING Art Games depicts the Blood Ravens and Dark Angels fighting on the planet Kronus. Creative director Jan Theysen of King Art Games has stated that the title may offer “more single-player content than any other RTS at launch.” The game is expected to feature four distinct campaigns, each reportedly larger than the original 2004 Dawn of War campaign. To increase replayability, the developers have implemented branching storylines; for instance, in Recent updates confirm the Ork campaign, a player might encounter only 14 or 15 of approximately 18 available missions in a single playthrough. As of October 2026, King Art Games has announced title marks a closed beta for the title, scheduled to run from October 21 return to October 26, 2026. Registration for this beta is open until October 18 via the official newsletter. A nine-minute presentation trailer released by King Art Games further details the game's setting on the planet Kronus classic real-time strategy roots, emphasizing base building, resource management, and confirms large-scale army control. The game features four playable factions: Space Marine, Ork, Necron, and Adeptus Mechanicus. Beyond the core campaign, the game includes 30 different multiplayer maps, customizable skirmish matches, and the return of the cooperative survival mode, ‘The Last Stand’. A new enhanced ‘Painter’ tool has also been introduced for unit customization. A Year One content roadmap has been announced, promising free updates such as the return of ‘Crusade Mode’, new maps, and two large story expansion packs.
