Warhammer 40K TV series development

In late July 2026 Amazon MGM Studios confirmed that its live‑action Warhammer 40K series, first announced in 2022, had moved beyond concept work. Henry Cavill remains the lead actor and an executive producer, while horror filmmaker Mike Flanagan was added as writer, showrunner and executive producer. The partnership now also includes United Artists, with Vertigo Entertainment and Cavill’s own company staying involved. No title, cast list, production schedule or release window has been disclosed, and the project is still in early development.

A day later, Games Workshop’s annual report reiterated that Amazon Studios continues developing the series, confirming Flanagan’s role in scripting and Cavill’s ongoing executive‑producer involvement. United Artists remains a partner, and commercial details remain limited. The update signals steady progress but the series remains in the pre‑production phase with no new public milestones announced.
