Warsaw Chopin Airport has undergone various operational and service-related developments. The airport implemented new 3D security scanners designed to increase check speeds by allowing passengers to keep items in bags and permitting liquid containers up to 2 liters. During this period, authorities also conducted enforcement operations near the airport, resulting in the detention and potential deportation of several ride-hailing drivers for unauthorized transport and residency issues. Additionally, travelers have voiced criticism regarding the cost of luggage wrapping services at the airport. Passengers noted that prices, ranging from 59 PLN to 99 PLN, are significantly higher than comparable services in other regions. Regarding the security modernization, the airport has now reached the halfway point of the installation process. Eight of the 15 planned machines are currently operational within the AB security zones. This upgrade project, which is divided into 14 stages, also includes the installation of new roller belts to increase baggage throughput. The full modernization is scheduled for completion by the end of 2026.
