Several water polo clubs have secured qualification for the Champions League through recent tournament performances. Novi Beograd advanced to the elite competition after a successful qualification tournament in Romania, highlighted by a victory over the German club Spandau. The team previously defeated Strasbourg 15:12, with Vasilije Martinović and Viktor Urošević each scoring four goals. Novi Beograd joins Radnički Kragujevac in the group stage. In a separate qualification effort, Jadran Split secured its place by defeating the Hungarian side Honved 12:6 in the third round of a tournament held at Poljud. Despite an initial loss to Panathinaikos, Jadran controlled the match against Honved, supported by 13 saves from goalkeeper Popadić. This victory ensures Jadran’s sixth consecutive season in the elite European competition. Jadran finishes second in Group C, and the Champions League group stage draw is set to occur in Zagreb.
