Heat warnings covered eight voivodeships, including Mazowieckie, Podlaskie, Łódzkie, Lubelskie, Świętokrzyskie, Podkarpackie, Małopolskie, and Śląskie, with temperatures expected between 29 and 31°C. Simultaneously, severe weather alerts for southern Dolnośląskie and Opolskie warned of heavy rain (25 to 40 mm), thunderstorms, hail, and winds up to 70 km/h. This extreme heat has led to severe agricultural consequences, with farmers in regions like Opole reporting crop losses of up to 50 percent due to temperatures reaching 40°C. By September 10, meteorological forecasts indicated a significant temperature gap of up to 10 degrees Celsius across the country, driven by the interaction between a Central European high-pressure system and a moist low-pressure system from the Balkans.
