WhatsApp continues to expand its group-chat and organizational tools, including an “@all” mention for urgent announcements and automated greetings for new members. Visual enhancements include new chat themes such as “Featured”, “Doodle”, and “Minimal”, with Android users testing media previews and iOS users testing pinned message notifications. Customization of emoji reactions and the rollout of usernames to protect phone numbers are also in development. Recent updates focus on enhanced utility and Meta ecosystem integration.
