NetEase Games and Everstone Studio announced have detailed the upcoming Qingzhou expansion for the wuxia-inspired open-world action RPG, Where Winds Meet. The update update, designated as version 2.3, is scheduled to roll out in two phases, beginning begin on October 15, 2026, with the release of the Eastern Peak region on October 15 and region. This will be followed by the misty opening of the mist-shrouded island of Penglai on October 29. The expansion introduces new landscapes inspired by Confucian philosophy, including mountainous featuring rugged mountain peaks and expansive coastal areas. Gameplay additions New gameplay elements include the Inkbound Order, a sect emphasizing debate, that emphasizes resolving conflicts through art, and music, which features and debate. This sect introduces ‘A Duel of Wits,’ a card-based PvP mode called ‘A Duel of Wits’. New combat elements centered on strategic mental engagement. Combat additions include a weapon type that blends traditional dance with martial arts, such as rhythmic weapons like the ‘Wuya Gu’ or the Gu’, ‘Ribbon Drum’, or ‘Waist Drum’, which utilizes rhythmic drumming blend traditional dance with martial arts to bind enemies and buff teammates. The update will also introduce three feature a new main story chapter, side quests, and three world bosses: the Tide Watcher, the Old Raftsman, and Zhu Yinghan. In a separate technical announcement, NetEase stated that in late November, the title will become one of the first three games globally to support NVIDIA DLSS 5 with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering, intended to enhance visual fidelity for GeForce RTX systems.
