Witney Carson on Dancing With the Stars

Professional dancer Witney Carson is competing in Season 35 of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ alongside partner Guillermo Rodriguez. During the season premiere, Carson criticized the judges for being “a little mean” toward Rodriguez following their cha-cha performance, though she noted the technical feedback remained useful.

As the competition progressed, Carson addressed rumors suggesting she wanted to be eliminated after being placed in the bottom three for three consecutive weeks. She clarified on TikTok that her emotional responses are due to sadness for departing contestants rather than a desire to leave, stating she is “genuinely sad for the people going home.”

Carson also discussed the personal difficulty of managing the competition while pregnant with her third child and being away from her husband, Carson McAllister, and their two sons in Florida. She noted that the physical and emotional intensity of the competition, combined with pregnancy hormones, has made the separation difficult. Regarding her health, Carson reassured fans that she is following medical guidance and is not overdoing the physical demands of the show. She also praised Rodriguez for his work ethic and dedication to learning new skills despite his lack of advanced dance experience.
