Reports indicate a concerning trend of fatal accidents in Albania and Kosovo. In Albania, data from the Central Labor Inspection showed approximately 20 workplace deaths in 2025, with more than ten fatal accidents recorded in the first half of 2026. Local authorities have launched investigations into these incidents in coordination with the Labor Inspectorate and the Prosecutor's Office.
