Workplace health and safety initiatives in Italy

Overview

Various health and safety initiatives and conferences are being organized across Italy to promote occupational wellbeing and awareness.

In late September, the ASL Brindisi Unified Guarantee Committee (CUG) held a conference focused on inclusion, equal opportunities, and the prevention of workplace discrimination. Additionally, a safety meeting titled ‘Prevention Techniques: From Theory to Practice’ was scheduled for November in Capurso to discuss workplace health and food safety models.

By late October, initiatives expanded to include community wellness and cultural awareness. In Racconigi, a wellness morning was organized featuring a community walk and a book presentation regarding emergency nursing. In Monza, as part of the European Week for Health and Safety at Work, a theatrical performance was scheduled to raise awareness about occupational risks, including both immediate accidents and ‘less visible professional illnesses’.
