World Egg Day celebrations and initiatives have been marked by various regional activities focused on nutrition, production, and community support. In Costa Rica, the National Chamber of Poultry Farmers provided free breakfasts and donated 63,000 eggs to the Bandera Blanca Foundation. In Mexico, the International Egg Fair was hosted in Tepatitlán de Morelos, while Nezahualcóyotl organized a hair donation campaign for oncological wigs. Peru launched a comic book series to teach children about nutrition. Subsequent efforts expanded to Mauritius, where Inicia and Caritas Mauritius launched nutritional education workshops to teach volunteers and staff how to prepare balanced meals on limited budgets. In Canada, Egg Producers of Canada honored the nation’s 1,290 egg producers, highlighting the supply management system and food safety standards through a commemorative video. This year marks the 30th anniversary of the celebration, which was established by the International Egg Commission in 1996. Current initiatives continue to highlight the nutritional importance of eggs, specifically their high-quality protein, vitamins, and minerals for brain development and cardiovascular health. In Argentina, the Cámara Argentina de Productores Avícolas (CAPIA) is organizing national dissemination efforts, promotional distributions, and educational meetings for veterinary and animal science students to commemorate the anniversary.
