Xalapa real estate sector professionalization

Overview

In Xalapa, Veracruz, efforts to modernize and professionalize the real estate sector have progressed through legislative and educational initiatives.

Initially, Deputy Bertha Rosalía Ahued Malpica introduced a legislative proposal to strengthen the State Registry of Real Estate Advisors. The initiative seeks to require technical certifications, ensure tax compliance, and establish stricter rules for professional conduct and advertising to protect client assets.

Following this, the Espacio Cultural y Bienes Raíces A. C. (ECyBR AC) conducted training sessions for real estate professionals. These sessions focused on legal and operational updates, specifically addressing the Federal Law for the Prevention and Identification of Operations with Resources of Illicit Origin (LFPIORPI) and regulations from the Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF). The training aimed to ensure compliance with fiscal norms and provide greater legal certainty for transactions.
