In early July 2026, German symphonic‑metal band Xandria issued the single “Northstar” as a preview for their upcoming record. The release was positioned as a lead‑in to the full album. By early August, the band August they announced that the album, titled “Eclipse,” would be issued released on 7 August 2026 through Napalm Records. Details highlighted the Records, describing an eleven‑track blend of 80s‑style riffs, orchestral and arrangements, Celtic folk elements, elements and a Pink‑Floyd‑inspired solo. The title track and its official video were also released, released ahead of the album. The album arrived on schedule on 7 August. Vocalist Ambre Vourvahis showcases a range from operatic passages to growls, while band leader Marco Heubaum frames the title song as a battle between light and darkness, emphasizing themes of reason, empathy and democracy. Xandria scheduled a performance will perform the track at Germany’s M’era Luna festival followed by a European tour later in September and then launch an extensive European tour, with dates across the month. UK, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Switzerland, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and additional venues.
