Microsoft has implemented several iterations of its Xbox Free Play Days program. In late August 2026, the promotion initially featured a rotation of three games valued at over $100, including the survival RPG ‘Icarus: Console Edition’, available to various Game Pass tiers. Subsequent offerings expanded the selection to include titles such as ‘Control Ultimate Edition’ and ‘Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves’ for all players, while requiring specific subscriptions for access to ‘Naruto To Boruto: Shinobi Striker’ and ‘ARK: Survival Ascended’. The period also included access to the ‘Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4’ open beta. From September 3 to September 6, 2026, the lineup included ‘EA Sports College Football 27’, available to all Xbox members without specific Game Pass requirements, while ‘The Survivalists’ required an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, Premium, or Essential membership.
