Amidst rising military tensions and Houthi advances along the Red Sea coast and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, humanitarian concerns have intensified; UNICEF reports that over 25 percent of screened children in certain areas are acutely malnourished, while recent clashes in southwest Yemen have displaced approximately 130,000 people.
