Yemeni officials and regional leaders have emphasized the need for unified military and political strategies to ensure stability. Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Mukhtar al-Yafie stated that the security of southern Yemen is tied to developments in surrounding provinces, arguing that securing areas like Aden and Bab al-Mandab requires lifting the siege on Taiz and unifying military fronts against Houthi militias. In a separate consultative meeting in Geneva, tribal and social leaders from eastern provinces, including Hadramaut, Mahra, Shabwa, and the Socotra Archipelago, discussed enhancing cooperation between their regions. These leaders condemned Houthi militia violations against civilians and called for support for the Yemeni armed forces to restore state institutions. Recent security and administrative activities have intensified across several governorates. In Aden, drug control authorities reported the seizure of approximately 10.5 kilograms of hashish. However, local concerns are rising in Aden regarding the security implications of hosting government institutions and leadership due to ongoing Houthi missile and drone threats, prompting calls to relocate these entities to protect civilians. In Taiz, the Ministry of Interior has launched a national mobilization campaign for police personnel to enhance security readiness and strengthen the internal front against Houthi militia activities. Additionally, in the Lahj governorate, the Loder district local council held an extraordinary meeting to focus on improving administrative discipline, ensuring the continuity of public services, and enhancing coordination between executive offices.
