In late August 2026, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath prioritized infrastructure, women’s empowerment, and labor reforms. Following initiatives like ‘Mission Shakti’ and the ‘Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana’, the administration expanded its focus toward economic and employment growth in September. Adityanath highlighted the impact of the PM Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana, noting that over 30 million people in the state have benefited from artisan empowerment. To promote local entrepreneurship, the fourth UP International Trade Show was scheduled for late September in Greater Noida. By October, Adityanath reported significant macroeconomic shifts, claiming the state’s GSDP, per capita income, and budget size have each tripled over nine and a half years. He noted that large factories increased from 14,000 to 35,000 and the state now hosts 60% of India’s expressway network. Regarding law and order, the administration emphasized a crackdown on organized crime, citing the seizure of over ₹15,000 crore in illegal assets under the Gangster Act and the establishment of cyber police stations in every district. In late September, the administration expanded agricultural and urban support. Under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Samriddhi Yojana, the government allocated 384 crore rupees to provide farmers with long-term loans at a reduced 6 percent interest rate. Simultaneously, two residential projects in Lucknow, Varun Vihar and Naimish Nagar, were inaugurated with a 12,000 crore rupee investment to house approximately 800,000 people.
