Trenque Lauquen is hosting the fifth edition of the ‘Miguel Ángel Sánchez – Noel Comas’ National Youth Football Tournament. The tournament utilizes nine pitches to host simultaneous matches, including participants from AFA-affiliated clubs such as River Plate, Vélez, Lanús, and Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata. Local authorities have noted that the event provides a significant economic boost to the city through increased demand for accommodation, gastronomy, and commerce. As of October 10, the youth football tournament, also referred to as the ‘Mundialito’, continues alongside other regional sports activities. Additionally, the Torneo Federal de Clubes, organized by the Federación Fútbol Bonaerense Pampeana, is resuming in Trenque Lauquen following postponements due to weather. This tournament includes matches across several youth categories hosted by local clubs such as Ferro C. Oeste, Club Monumental, and Club Argentino.
