In Germany, youth welfare providers are required under the Federal Child Protection Act to review extended certificates of good conduct for individuals supervising minors to ensure child protection. To support these volunteer roles, various training programs are available to help young people qualify as youth leaders. In Berlin, the organization bwgt e. V. provides free training for individuals aged 16 to 25 to earn the JuLeiCa (Jugendleiter*innen-Card), a nationally recognized qualification. Similarly, Expanding these opportunities, the Vogelsbergkreis Youth Welfare Office and the Evangelical Deanery of Vogelsberg are offering a practical JuLeiCa training program for young adults aged 16 to 29. This curriculum covers legal responsibility, group dynamics, and project planning to prepare volunteers for activities such as summer camps and regional excursions. The specific training sessions are scheduled for September 25–27 at the Hopfmannsfeld rectory and November 13–15 at the Landenhausen district youth home. The cost for the program is 25 euros, which covers materials, meals, and accommodation.
