This transaction, expected to be financed through international sources, will grant YPF 100% ownership of the unit, which holds 3.8 GW of installed capacity and provides approximately 10% of Argentina’s electricity. On October 14, 2026, the acquisition was completed, leaving YPF S.A. with 100% of the capital and voting rights. YPF Luz operates assets across eight provinces, including 2,740 MW of thermal generation and 1,024 MW of renewable capacity, making it the country’s second-largest renewable energy generator.
