Swedish pop singer Zara Larsson received five nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards, including categories for Best Dance, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration, Best Art Direction, and Best Visual Effects for her track ‘Stateside’, a collaboration with British singer PinkPantheress. Following the nominations, Larsson and PinkPantheress performed the ‘Stateside’ remix live for the first time during Larsson’s set at the All Points East Festival in London. Larsson introduced the performance to the audience by stating, ‘You guys are watching herstory being made.’ Larsson has since expanded her creative projects, collaborating with the Winx Club for a music video for her track ‘Midnight Sun’. The production utilizes digital animation and live-action elements to depict the singer as a fairy within the Alfea universe. Currently on her global Midnight Sun Tour, Larsson has engaged in interactive performances, such as at the Pukkelpop festival in Belgium, where fans mimicked the ‘floating’ visual effects from her ‘Midnight Sun’ choreography. Her tour schedule includes an upcoming appearance at Rock in Rio 2026.
