ZDF has announced several updates regarding its evening series programming. The network confirmed upcoming new episodes for ‘Notruf Hafenkante’, ‘Bettys Diagnose’, and ‘Die Rosenheim-Cops’. While several established series are returning, the medical fiction series ‘Die Maiwald’ has been cancelled after its initial two films, despite viewership exceeding three million per episode. Regarding the upcoming 26th season of ‘Die Rosenheim-Cops’, the network detailed significant cast changes. Sarah Thonig will replace Marisa Burger in the police secretariat role, and Maya Haddad will join the cast as Yasmin Rabe. Actor Steffen Wolf is confirmed to return to his role as Hannes Winkler. This 26th season is scheduled to air on Tuesdays at 19:25 starting October 6, 2026, and will consist of 24 new episodes. Other recent programming updates include the airing of older episodes from the 12th season of ‘Die Chefin’, including the episode ‘Söhne’, as well as features of ‘SOKO München’. In cinema, the tenth Eberhofer film, ‘Steckerlfischfiasko’, is currently showing. Additionally, Klarant Verlag has released new crime novels set in East Frisia: Sina Jorritsma’s ‘Nordseekutter’ and Stefan Albertsen’s ‘Ostfriesisches Gold’.
