The 18th edition of the ZeGeVege ~~festival of~~ sustainable living ~~is scheduled for September 4 to September 6, 2026,~~ festival has commenced at Europski trg in ~~Zagreb.~~ Zagreb, running from September 4 through September 6, 2026. Organized by the non-profit association Prijatelji životinja, the event ~~will feature~~ operates daily from 9:00 to 21:00. Building on its focus on animal protection, sustainability, and plant-based diets, this year’s festival features exhibitors of from Croatia and abroad offering vegan food, cruelty-free cosmetics, and sustainable ~~products.~~ innovations. Visitors can sample items such as vegan burgers, falafel, and fermented nut cheeses. The program includes educational discussions led by nutritionists, activists, and athletes on topics ~~such as~~ including animal rights, ecology, ~~plant-based nutrition,~~ and feminism. International guest Michele Borzoni is scheduled to present the ‘Silent Spring’ project and exhibition. ~~For this edition,~~ Expected guests include Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomašević and Orsat Miljenić, head of the Office of the President of the Republic of Croatia. The festival ~~has introduced~~ continues to utilize a ~~new~~ refreshed visual identity and scenography designed by artist and illustrator Ivana ~~Mrčela. The new branding utilizes~~ Mrčela, using character-driven animal illustrations ~~of animals~~ to promote the ~~message that~~ view of animals ~~should be viewed~~ as individuals rather than commodities.
